There’s a conversation I have with myself that I never want anyone to overhear. It’s a rat in a cage. It’s a name checked off against a register. The state of things assessed and arranged to suit the moment. Sometimes not pretty. Conversations like this end with a simple command to get up and knock on the next door down the corridor, like Gene Kelly in the dream/movie sequence of “Singing in the Rain”. Gotta Dance!

Lots of love from CGirlxxx

At the footlights
At the average point
As I waver
I cry foolish tears

But I’m feeling lazy
So take the lion’s share
Take the chance away
I don’t want it anymore

I hide the fuse from the fire
Lean into the lie
Feels like underwater
It’s a special thing

Stand up
Stand outside yourself
Stand away from your dreams
Stand apart

But its getting rainy
It’s all but nearly done
Take the chance away
What was all that for?

I hide the fuse from the fire
Lean into the lie
Feels like underwater
It’s a special thing

On the last day
As I wave goodbye
As I’m waving
I cry foolish tears

But in the nighttime
As the sirens call
As I’m waving
Its as perfect as a pearl

I hide, I hide, I hide the fuse from the fire
I hide, I hide, I hide the fuse from the fire

Gravatar Thanks for this comment Miss T. Yes about "Tati", but more particularly to "My Uncle"(listen to the dogs).Tati is my favorite film director. Then, for your voice, i allways think of something between his world and this of "Michel Gondry".I'll never say enough, how much i like to take you, hand in hand, for a walk in my musical world. I LOVE YOUR VOICE...See you soon..in June maybe..Good idea for the link from your site to ccMixter. 7/23/2007 6:25 PM | ditto ditto

Gravatar As another year winds from Christmas Day onto that inevitable slope into New Year's Eve, it's a pleasure to make a visit here and hear DoKashiteru's "May". The pitch-shifted call-and-response works quite well.

In science fiction, golden age writers wrestled with the notion of artificial sentience--the point at which something acquired "a life of its own". I am pleased that this puzzle is solved in melody on this site, where the 12 pieces and their countless (and meticulously counted) remixes have gained their own living, breathing sense of awareness.

Perhaps there are no laws of robotics to be gleaned here, and certainly (thankfully) no replicants need be eliminated. As I put on my spacesuit for 2009, I'm pleased to find that Mission Control keeps this project alive.

A very merry New Year to you and yours!

Gravatar I've found lately that I don't want to listen to any other music than Calendar Girl. You can spend the whole day in bed listening to all the remixes over and over and over. And then, at the end of the day, life seems justified. 1/11/2010 11:46 AM | Rapid Share

Gravatar I'm not too keen on River. That being said, it's not a bad name, and I don't think people would find it weird. I've met a little toddler called River.

I love Beulah, but I'm afraid to use it because it makes most people picture a large redneck woman living in a trailer somewhere in the South. 5/22/2010 7:32 PM | bad credit car loan

Gravatar He actually said it was going to be a secret V-day present for me but since February 14th is a few weeks off (and we both felt like bigtime slackers every time we looked at the expired oh-nine calendar) he shared his idea so we could do it together on the last weekend of January. 7/16/2010 7:33 AM | kuber infotek
